What are the symptoms of dog allergies?
If you're allergic to dogs, you're going to show some basic common symptoms. Generally these are the same as what you'd think of for allergies in general. You'll get a runny nose, a stuffed up nose, itching and sneezing in your nose, eye problems that include watering, problems with breathing (these will be worse if you have asthma), coughing, and a sore throat. In more extreme cases people who are allergic to dogs will get hives or rashes. These symptoms may show up even if you don't have direct contact with a dog. They are often caused by skin dander that sticks to surfaces in a house where a dog lives, and gets very concentrated - so even if you're just going into a room where a dog often hangs out, you can have an allergic reaction depending on how sensitive you are.
